In keeping with ever-improving camera technology, RED improved on the stellar design of their Epic to an upgraded Dragon sensor. With this new sensor, the Epic Dragon is able to shoot at the astounding 6K resolution, with nearly 9 times as many pixels as HD. The new sensor also boast upgraded latitude from 13.5 to over 16.5 stops and a base ISO of 2000. That combined with improved color space (especially in skin tones), highlight roll-off, a cleaner image and reduced moire and artifact aliasing makes this a truly remarkable camera capable of producing an image that stands as a benchmark moving forward. The camera is available with EF, PL and the new Motion Mount that has a global shutter, improved image stabilization, and internal ND filters, making it ideal for any situation where camera size is an issue and a matte box is not possible.
